Upon graduating from the LSU School of Dentistry, Dr. Mainieri knew he wanted to return to Baton Rouge and serve the community in which he was raised. Having graduated from Catholic High School, where he was a member of a state championship baseball team, and Louisiana State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, he knows the capital area well and has been a representative of the health professional society for the last few years.
He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, the Greater Baton Rouge Dental Association, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, where he has become well-trained in administering Botox.
Seeing how members of his own family have given back to their local area and supported charitable organizations, Dr. Mainieri has wanted to be a part of that same inspiration. He has volunteered his time through organizations such as the Big Buddy Program, the Miracle League at Cypress Mounds, and the Missions of Mercy. He was nominated as one of “Capital City’s Finest,” in which he raised money for Cystic Fibrosis, and was named runner-up in the 2024 Family Favorites for “favorite adult dentist.” Coming from an organized sports background, as well as watching his father’s LSU teams work together for common goals, Dr. Mainieri lives his life with an ethic of teamwork, a pivotal point of emphasis that he brings to the office.
Dr. Mainieri believes that a large part of a health professional’s role is not only to provide necessary treatment for the patient, but to have a positive effect on them as well. He believes dentistry offers the most meaningful work there is—the daily opportunity to help others.
Apart from dentistry, Dr. Mainieri enjoys spending time with his wife, Marissa, and their dog, Ruth, as well as his family and friends. He enjoys golf, sporting events, classic movies, reading, and the outdoors.
